Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about RIBAT Panel systems, performance, installation, and support.

EPS is a stable, closed-cell material that does not decompose or lose its insulating properties under normal building conditions. When protected within the panel assembly and plaster system, EPS maintains its performance for the lifetime of the building.

It is a structural insulated panel consisting of an EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) core enclosed by welded steel mesh on both sides. After installation, the panel is plastered to create a load-bearing, thermally efficient wall, roof, or floor element.

RIBAT Panel roof systems are lightweight, thermally efficient, and capable of spanning wide distances with minimal support. They reduce structural load, accelerate construction, and deliver superior energy performance compared to traditional roof structures.

Raw EPS is combustible, but RIBAT Panel systems use fire-retardant EPS grades and are designed as assemblies with plaster finishes that provide tested fire resistance ratings. The complete system, not the core alone, determines fire performance.

Yes. The lightweight yet rigid structure reduces inertial forces during seismic events. The panel system has been used in seismic zones and is engineered to perform reliably under lateral loads when properly designed and installed.

RIBAT Panel systems typically reduce construction time significantly. A small crew can assemble the structural envelope of a residential project in days rather than weeks, depending on complexity and weather conditions.

EPS is 100% recyclable and can be reused in manufacturing. It contains no CFCs or HCFCs. Its lightweight nature reduces transport emissions, and its thermal performance significantly reduces building energy use over decades of operation.

Absolutely. Panels can be manufactured in various thicknesses, lengths, and configurations to match your architectural and structural requirements. Our engineering team supports custom design and detailing.
